I am a member of the Department of Informatics, and with Grigoris Antoniou I co-lead the department's Planning. Autonomy and Representation of Knowledge (PARK) research group. My research interests include automated plan generation, semantic technologies, information extraction, knowledge engineering, machine learning, data mining, requirements validation and formal specification. My teaching areas include: artificial intelligence, formal specification, semantic web, logic and algebra, theory of computation, language processing and compilation, logic programming, functional programming, principles/semantics of programming languages, concurrent systems, software metrics, software engineering environments.

Recent and Current activities:

Leader of the EPSRC AIS programme project (2012-2016): "Machine Learning and Adaptation of Domain Models to Support Real Time Planning in Autonomous Systems"
with colleagues from the University of Edinburgh.

Leader/chair of COST Action "Autonomic Road Transport Support Systems"
European Network 2011-2015.
